Hi all, I'm Steve. I'm a Maine based Motion Designer, Video Editor, and Videographer who loves to find all sorts of ways to meld these fields together creating dynamic and engaging content. With a BA in media, I have a strong foundation in videography and editing. Once graduating with my degree, I began making an array of Flash based animations, which quickly built my interest and progression into 2.5D and 3D animation. Aside from the work itself, this evolution is my favorite aspect to watch.
I’m a graduate from the University of Southern Maine, with a Bachelor of Arts in Media. After being awarded the Maine Association of Broadcasters scholarship, I landed an internship with a Portland based vegetarian cooking show, where I acted as assistant editor. Here, I ate lots of delicious food, edited lots of delicious content, and also worked my newly found love for animation into creating bumpers for the show open and close. From this moment, I saw the excitement and value motion graphics can add to a production. I began my career as a freelancer working with a variety of clients from tech start ups, app developers, film production houses, medical organizations, and independent documentary groups, eventually landing a job at a nationally recognized architectural visualization house, Tangram 3DS, where I became their first motion designer. I brought my talents to collaborate with the visualization team to create the highest quality marketing videos in the architectural market. We worked on multiple successful promotional videos, which were pivotal in the design, approval, leasing, sales, and overall marketing/ branding appeal for each client.
I’m currently a freelance designer residing just outside of Portland, ME. Other than that, I’m a marathon runner, wannabe musician, and family man. Good beer, coffee, music, and eye candy from Instagram claim the remainder of my time. I enjoy working with clients and teams of all shapes and sizes so feel free to reach out!
